To grow the ecommerce side of the business we had to implement strategic information architecture, dialling up the education and proof-points throughout the site to help users navigate the range and promote transparency and trust.
With new packaging, multiple product ranges and now a new website, unifying the brand experience across all touchpoints was essential to drive recognition and loyalty.
Aesthetically balanced
We worked closely with the Harker Herbals team to refine their positioning and brand execution, balancing a traditional aesthetic with modern functionality. Clean, fresh and pure – the design is a nod to the brand’s New Zealand roots.
After art directing new lifestyle imagery and video content, and guiding the team on a refreshed tone of voice, the site feels wholesome and natural – fitting for a brand with such a rich history and ethos.
Early education
A comparison module on the home page helps users differentiate between two core ranges with overlapping benefits – syrups and tonics. Since taste and consistency are key factors, scales were introduced to help customers find products that would match their preferences.
Seamless navigation
By creating better connections between products on-site, customers can explore and discover with more fluidity. A new mega menu allows shoppers to browse the products by health concern or range, giving them multiple ways to find the best option.
Product comparison
Compare modals featuring important product details were introduced to the ‘Shop by Health Concern’ collection, allowing users to quickly differentiate between similar products without having to dive into each product page.
Expansive PDPs
Product pages are designed to educate the customer on natural medicine starting with symptom tags, age suitability and a flavour profile, which give customers a summary at a glance.
Sticky product imagery is coupled with USPs and testimonials that appear on scroll, creating an immersive educational experience that concludes with the showcase of key ingredients.
Championing the ingredients
A comprehensive ingredients glossary combines large-scale imagery with educational descriptions to help customers understand and visualise the ingredients in their raw natural form.
